【2018 A-Level成績排行榜】挑選英國寄宿學校必讀 部分學校奪 A 率近九成

英國一直都是香港學生熱門留學的國家，除了教育制度較為完善及大部分學校都有悠久的歷史外，亦是因為英國有不少學術氣氛濃厚、成績有保證的學校。然而，英國的寄宿學校有上千間，怎樣才可以為子女挑選到合適的學校呢？為子女挑選寄宿中學時，不妨首先參考英國私立學校 A-Level成績排行榜。不過要注意部分學校不想媒體公佈其成績，或未必見於榜上。
今次排行榜羅列了近全英 280間學校的2018年A-level成績，Oh!爸媽亦特意搜羅排名前50間學校的資料及校網、重點介紹幾間成績突出的學校，讓爸媽以作參考：
一．Cardiff Sixth Form College 蟬聯1位
已經連續多年穩守此排行榜第一寶座的 Cardiff Sixth Form College ，今年學校亦不負眾望，以高達近9成的奪A*-A百份率冠絕全英。雖然設施和環境並超卓的公開考試成績一直是學校的賣點，
Cardiff Sixth Form College的設施和環境均非常一般，海外學生更高達七成；相信與香港家長心目中的英式寄宿學校生活大有出入。但它超卓的公開考試成績卻足以彌補一切缺點：每年約 20名學生能夠成功考入牛劍、以及其驚人的 100%大學入學率，都令不少家長趨之若鶩，是尖子的不二之選！

二．Oxford International College 首度上榜便躋身第五位
有別於傳統寄宿學校，為幫助學生考進優秀的大學，學校課程設計結合傳統和考試主導的教學，以小班教學模式進行，比例多為一對一或一對三，特別適合來自不同背景、非英語母語的國際生，教學模式的成效十分顯著。
2018 年，五名畢業生獲劍橋大學錄取，當中有三位是香港學生。另外有三名學生獲香港的大學取錄錄取，分別入讀環球商業系、醫學系和牙醫系。
三．Queen Ethelburga’s College, York 過去數年擠身英國寄宿學校排名榜首十名
此校英國本地學生佔五成，每年有三百位來自海外學生加入學校大家庭，營造了一個認識多元文化及語言的理想環境。執行校長Dan Machin稱，英國有些學校只得一成國際學生，且這些國際學生都長年留在同聲同氣的小圈子，在校內彷彿備受孤立。幸而在QE，由於沒有一個國藉佔學生的大多數，不同背景的同學仔都有機會融合交流，就自然造成了一個國際化的學習環境。他形容在校內猶如置身倫敦的職場，同學大有機會和來自世界各地的人合作，提早為他們將來投身國際化的就業市場打好基礎。
Queen Ethelburga’s College的校園有「歐洲最美校園」的美譽，不但校園環境如畫，它更擁有全國數一數二的寄宿設備。宿舍所有房間都配備私人浴室、電視、小型廚房連雪櫃，房間內家用品一應俱全，家長送子女去寄宿，不論學習及生活上，都可以完全放下一百個心。
